Recharge your soul
Eat s'mores. Head to the field for color wars. Sneak out of your cabin. Have a dance party. Get your hands busy with some good old arts and crafts.
Take some morning yoga. Take a deep stretch class after lunch. Get under the stars for a night time improv class. Skip it all and take a long walk through the trees.
When: You'll arrive at camp on Thursday, October 3rd between 4-6pm and leave on Sunday, October 6th around 11:30am.
Where: Camp Whittle is located in Fawnskin, which is up the mountain in the Big Bear area. The staff are absolutely wonderful and welcoming. The facilities are exactly what camp should be: bunk beds, cabins, fields, trees, and large, wonderful dining halls.
Why: Whether you loved camp as a kid or never got to experience it, the magic is in the (dis) connection. We leave behind phones, agendas, and the stress of technology and get to act like kids again, only this time, we add more dancing. It's a time of letting go and letting good stuff happen.
How: By programming each day thoughtfully with a lot of movement and just enough downtime. We will eat meals together, do a craft or two, have some time for deep stretch, followed by another class. There will be group activities and moments where you can take and decompress alone (we understand #teamintrovert). We're only here for a few days, but they will be an incredibly memorable few days.
Who: This was created for dancers who are ready for a carefree time. They're going to bring their most generous and adventure-ready spirit and will laugh, play, and dance with others. No alcohol, no technology, no fancy stuff, just back-to-basics togetherness.
It's our first year, so we're offering introductory pricing. Camp is $355 for early birds and includes all lodging, meals, and activities. Price goes up to $400 in September. Payment plans available!
We've noticed most three-day camps are $600-1500, so we've done our best to make camp accessible to all.
